S.A.F.E. High School Program
The S.A.F.E. (Set Apart For Excellence) High School program supports and guides high school students to reach their fullest potential through academic support, spiritual support, recreational and service-based activities that prepare them all the opportunities and challenges that await them in the post-high school world.
Inner City Sports
We know that organized athletics drastically reduces truancy, criminal and delinquent behavior, and improves discipline, health and overall fitness. This year-round program reaches youth, grades K – 12th. The Emmanuel Center works in partnership with Memphis Athletic Ministries, Tennis Memphis, and the Redbirds RBI program to provide this opportunity. These sports include football, basketball, tennis, baseball, soccer, golf, softball, and T-ball.
We network with agencies, churches, organizations, and other ministries to coordinate support programs in the neighborhood. These services include weekly food distribution, Operation Backpack, and Operation Joy (a holiday child adoption program).
